ARCI / Principles

Vision.

Not a manifesto, but a handful of concrete principles behind how projects under ARCI come to be.

5 principles
A long horizon
01

Long-term value over fast growth

Rodokmeny.cz grows slowly and without pressure for fast growth, because genealogical data makes sense on a horizon of decades, not quarters. The same applies to every other project under ARCI — better slower, with value that lasts.

02

Making what is fragmented accessible

Sources for family history, real-estate data or photographic documentation often share the same problem: they exist, but are scattered and hard to find. ARCI takes shape exactly where that fragmentation can be straightened out — the way Rodokmeny.cz already does for genealogical sources.

03

Family memory as a starting point

Genealogy isn't here as an extra hobby, but as a reminder that most information about ancestors disappears unless someone actively records it and makes it accessible to others.

04

Photography as document, not just image

A photo credited foto: arci.cz is always, first and foremost, a record of a specific place and moment. Documentary value comes before stylisation.

05

Technology as a means, not an end

The web, databases or automation exist so that data and images can be reached faster and more reliably. They are never a goal in themselves — only a tool for what's stated above.
